President Barack Hussein Obama said over the weekend that the now infamous SOPA bill is dead on arrival (DOA) if Congress passes it and sends it to the WH for his signature. SOPA is yet one more in a line of attempts by government to censor the Internet and to curtail freedom of speech. SOPA might be axed now but there is a mirror bill in the Senate called the PIPA. So this battle against censorship is not over.
SOPA was being passed off as an Internet anti-piracy bill and many experts claimed that it would go far beyond anti-piracy. If it had passed SOPA would have handed the government the power to shut down any website or blog without reason. In effect, SOPA could have been used to shut down all sites that opposed government or the policies of Obama or anything else. It would have curtailed free speech and, in doing, so it would have halted debate and conversation on many issues. Some critics of SOPA said that it would be the American version of the Communist Chinese Internet censorship practices in China. SOPA was an obvious move towards censorship and one more step towards a police state of tyranny but so is PIPA.
The demise of SOPA is the DIRECT result of the public (you and I) coming together and exercising OUR POWER to stop government! That is the most significant thing about SOPA. People heard about it or read about it and people from all walks of life became outraged about it and began to express their outrage to government. Government listened to We The People for once and backed off. And that’s the way it SHOULD be ALL of the time! Government is suppose to be representing the WILL OF THE PEOPLE not the will of Wall Street, the globalists, or some lackey police tyranny dreamland! SOPA is a great example of the POWER OF THE PEOPLE IN ACTION! But let’s not stop with SOPA. Let’s keep going until we force our representatives to START doing their job which is representing WE THE PEOPLE. We have POWER and this action PROVES we STILL HAVE POWER! Now America USE IT!!
The next thing we need to stop is this PIPA bill in the Senate because it’s a mirror Senate version of SOPA. Dirty Harry Reid appeared on Meet the Press yesterday and it appeared to me that he’s having second thoughts about PIPA. Well Dirty Harry you’d better have second thoughts because We The People aren’t going to stand for that POLICE STATE BULLSHIT BILL either! Now Reid said he’s going to “fix” the bill and that there may be a “manager’s agreement” too. Question: Just what in the hell is a manager’s agreement? Does Dirty Harry think he’s running a corporate business or something instead of SERVING in Congress as a public SERVANT? Seems to me Harry is a bit out of touch with REALITY. Surprised America?
Memo to Dirty Harry—no “manger’s agreement” is need nor is any “amendment” when it comes to the PIPA bill. What is needed is for PIPA to be AXED as SOPA just was! John and Jane Q. Public have had enough of your attempts at censorship and taking away our civil rights and we aren’t going to take it anymore! Scrap the thing Harry!!

Now the article above attributes the demise of SOPA to the great leader Obamavich but I don’t think so. The credit should go to all of the public outrage expressed over this clearly tyrannical bill. We The People stopped SOPA and we can stop its sister PIPA too and WE WILL! Contrary to what Congress and the Senate might think they don’t answer to Obama. THEY ANSWER TO US!! And we are going to MAKE them answer to US!
Of course there will more attempts in the near future to resurrect SOPA or something like it as that seems to be the M.O in government today. They bow to public pressure, let something die, and then a few months or so later they bring it back up. That’s not the way it should go at all. That’s why Congress and the POTUS need to get the message of the people loud and clear. Enough of the tactics to ram through the corporate Nazi agenda! We are going to buy the bullshit anymore! When the people say they don’t want something we mean we don’t want it and you don’t need to keep bringing it up in repeated attempts to force it upon us. This is a democracy not a dictatorship! It’s time all of you LOSERS in Congress discover that!
BTW tomorrow is a big day for Internet PROTESTS! Tomorrow on January 18th some big Internet giants plan on going dark for 24 hours to protest attempts at Internet Censorship. Wikipedia is one such giant that will be going dark tomorrow. Drudge Report, Inforwars, and others may join the blackout in a demonstration what it will be like on the Net if government finally does achieve censorship. Wikipedia has a message up on all of their pages telling people about tomorrow’s blackout.
Just so you know Lorinov’s blog and ANJ may join in and blackout tomorrow as well in an show of SOLIDARITY! I encourage everyone to join in and blackout your blogs for 24 hours tomorrow. It’s the first real Internet mass demonstration and we all should be a part of it to show government we’re serious! Enough of the police state BULLSHIT! It’s time to STAND UP AND FIGHT BACK against these Nazi ASSHOLES!
